CIMA: the national trade association for the Canadian-owned, English-language independent music sector.
Songwriters Association of Canada: community, advocacy and career support for songwriters.
ADVANCE Music Canada: Canada's Black music business collective, which keeps a useful grants directory.
Music Canada: represents the major labels and publishes industry research and policy work.
SOCAN: collects performance and reproduction royalties for songwriters, composers and publishers.
Re:Sound: collects royalties for performers and record labels when recordings are broadcast or played in public.
ACTRA RACS: pays recording artists, including session musicians and background performers, for the use of their recorded work.
Artisti: the Quebec-based performers' collective, and the default home for former MROC members who didn't pick a new collective.
CMRRA: licenses the reproduction of songs (mechanical royalties).
